Groceries or Conservatories?

06 July 2011

In a strange but not so uncommon event, Tesco has diversified and branched into windows and doors. Not exactly DIY conservatories but still this seems to be an all out assault on the PVCu market.

Is it all it’s cracked up to be?

Tesco promises to diminish the cut-throat reputation of the industry with no salesmen, no hard sell and no price deception. Is it really a clear difference? On closer inspection it seems Tesco is deploying its usual tactics of direct transparency with its customers but it comes to light that Tesco makes a better door than a window.

Tesco’s pricing appears to be higher than the market average. A casement window guide price of £554 for a 1.1m x 0.9m including installation, looks to be tipping on the edge of excessive. When compared to our standard DIY conservatory (3m x 2.5m) which includes free delivery, 2 windows and a set of French doors from £1,885.

Is there another option?

There is light at the end of the tunnel, Centurion DIY Conservatories also supplies and delivers Windows and Doors. Coupled with Centurions unparalleled quality and service, it is a clear choice. Call today to find out how much you could save purchasing through Centurion DIY - 0800 389 7261
