Aspect Of Your Conservatory - North Facing
09 May 2011If building a North Facing conservatory, one of the things that you need to consider is that it will be cooler than if it were south facing. This is fine in the summer months but may be problematic in the winter months when temperatures plummet just as a South facing conservatory can become unbearable in the summer if it is not properly ventilated or Solar blinds are not installed,. Therefore if your Do-It-Yourself conservatory is North Facing you will need to make sure that it is well insulated and that you have a good heating system installed.
It can be, on the other hand, very pleasant to use during the summer months where sunlight is consistent but not direct, so the conservatory will always be warm and bright on a nice summer’s day. A north facing conservatory can be a great place to mull over breakfast or read the morning paper. Some people even find that it is a great room for a home office with its bearable temperatures and not being too bright of an afternoon. Blinds are also not a necessity, again great for allowing light in ,and also allows you to view the night sky from the comfort of your own home.
